Step 3 = have paint bath.

Do you have a sustainable raw material (for example organic cotton), but nothing is said about the dye bath (as some colleagues deliberately do not do). Then you can have a dishonest and chemical piece in your hands... Make sure that your garment is processed in a factory that takes into account chemical-free dye baths, sustainable water recycling and the right working conditions.

Step 4 = Who makes my clothes?

The GOTS certification is a good indicator for all these steps. GOTS checks from cultivation to end product. Do you have that certificate with your clothes? (As we have with all our products from India) And is there a number next to it? Then you are in the right place. You can trace the factory via their site.

Choose sustainability over profit

Striking a balance between environmental and social sustainability and economic sustainability is a challenge. While organic cotton is more environmentally and socially sustainable, its production can be more expensive and less profitable for farmers than conventionally grown cotton.
