DE KLEDING INDUSTRIE EN EEN BETERE WERELD... MAAR HOE DAN?
There are several ways in which we (with something as superficial as clothing) be able to take better care of the world. Here are some examples:

1. Choose sustainable materials: Choose clothing made from sustainable materials such as organic cotton, hemp and recycled fibers. These materials are less harmful to the environment and are often of better quality.

2. Buy clothes from sustainable brands: Choose clothing from brands that are committed to sustainability and ethical production. These brands often have better traceability and transparency about their production process and have an eye for the impact on the environment.

3. Choose second-hand clothing: When you buy second-hand clothes, you make sure that no new raw materials and energy are needed to make new clothes. In addition, it reduces the amount of clothing that ends up in landfills.

4. Repair in recycling: Repair garments that are broken instead of throwing them away. If garments are beyond repair, they can still be recycled. Many municipalities offer recycling opportunities for textiles.

5. Wash in a sustainable way: Wash clothes at a lower temperature (30 degrees) and use environmentally friendly detergents. Avoid using the dryer and opt for drying clothes in the open air.

By making more conscious choices when buying and wearing clothing, we can contribute to a better world together.
