The factories in India have been closed for two weeks now. All employees were sent home without pay. We have always worked hard to ensure that these workers receive a decent salary. As a result, our collection was not cheap, but it was fair. That is now come to a standstill and who knows for how long.

It is often said that bamboo clothing is more environmentally friendly than cotton. That's true. But organic cotton is a completely different story."Normal" cotton uses way too much water and is full of pesticides to maximize yields. Organic cotton, on the other hand, requires much less water (due to rainfall-based irrigation systems)...

You can call bamboo, rayon and modal sustainable because it grows with little water and does not need a pesticide to perform well. However, to make a good clothing fiber from bamboo, you do need a lot of water and a chemical process (this also applies to viscose, rayon, modal).
