METHOD

To be very alive is not only about you and us, but also about the people who made our clothes and how we must reduce our ecological footprint in order to stay alive as happy, healthy and very as possible. Although we do not mind a good laugh, we are very serious about producing ethical, sustainable fashion. That's why our manufacturers are carefully selected.

India
In India we work with the famous Raijlakshmi Cotton Mills, they are part of Chetna Organic Agriculture Producer Company. We also work with agent Paul Jeflin, who owns his own small home factory: Sunwear Clothing. He also works closely together with GOTS certified TEXWIN Impex and KG Denim for our bigger organic orders.

Indonesia
In Indonesia we buy the fabrics ourselves. Mostly linen and recycled yarns and fabrics.

On Bali we dye the fabrics and yarns and make the garments. This way we can keep a close eye on the makers and their (sustainable and fair) process.

For the bigger jobs work with the factory of Budiman Riswantyo in Denpasar and for the smaller jobs we work together with the lovely couple Pak Ketut and Ibu Komang. They are pattern designers and run a small family business of homeworkers near Tabanan.

So, this is where we are now, and ofcourse we're always open to improvements. If there is anything you would like to know, any ideas you'd like to share or if you just want to say hello, please send us an email@ info at thedriftwoodtales.com
